A Bloomington man has been charged with robbing a north-side Terre Haute bank last month.

Daniel Curry, 60, was served a warrant Wednesday while he was in the Marion County Jail in Indianapolis, said Detective Michele Barrett of the Terre Haute Police Department.

Police said Curry and an accomplice were wearing false mustaches and wigs while they robbed the Fifth Third bank Jan. 19 on Fort Harrison Road. They took an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. One pack of money was rigged with colored dye and exploded shortly after being removed from a bank cashier’s drawer.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Curry had been in jail about a week on federal charges of accessory after the fact, police said. He was held Wednesday with no bail.

The FBI is continuing the investigation.
