Marshall City Band to perform evening concert

MARSHALL, ILL. — The Marshall City Band, under the direction of Ralph Stewart, will perform a concert this Friday evening at 8 on the Clark County Courthouse lawn.

Included in the concert are “Under the Double Eagle,” a selection of “Rodgers and Hart Songs,” then pick up the beat with the jazz Fox-Trot “Tiger Rag,” “Tower of the Americas” and “Kentucky Babe.” The concert will continue with “Hostrauser’s March,” “Amazing Grace,” selections from “The Phantom of The Opera,” “Slidin’ Easy,” “Suspiros De Espana,” “Sounds Of The Carpenters,” a medley of “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “For All We Know,” and “Rainy Days and Mondays,” “The Roaring Twenties,” and close with the playing of “The Star Spangled Banner.”

The Marshall Music Boosters will be offering refreshments during the concert.  All concerts are free; lawn chairs are encouraged.
