‘Wellness’ exhibit features work of digital photography class

TERRE HAUTE — Arts Illiana and Indiana State’s Community School of the Arts present an art exhibition at Corporate Square, titled “Wellness.” The exhibition features the work of participants in CSA’s “Digital Photography for Adults” class.

Arts Illiana, Arts Council of the Wabash Valley, has set up a community wide exhibition engine called OutReach Galleries.

With these exhibitions area artists have the opportunity to participate in solo and group shows to display and sell their work. This community initiative brings the arts to the greater population and gives artists the opportunity to display to different audiences.

It also allows Arts Illiana a chance to work with local businesses to encourage the exhibition of art in their available space, therefore beautifying and adding a bit of color to entice more visitors.

Corporate Square, at 2901 Ohio Blvd., is an OutReach Gallery site and is currently hosting a show, featuring the work of Louise Anderson, Pat Breault, Bess Enright, Cheryl Kremer, Lata Ganatra, Donna Gustafson, Debbie Hadley, Barb Mickelson, Ceil Seprodi and Lisa Stein.

The exhibit is on display until June 20, and viewing hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The theme of the show, wellness, is interpreted by each artist.

The “Digital Photography for Adults” covers technical and creative aspects of photography, and is taught by Emily Gruenert. Gruenert is a professional photographer with more than 20 years of photography experience. She currently owns her own photography business specializing in portrait photography. She received a master’s degree in photography from Indiana State University and a bachelor’s in photography from the University of Central Missouri. Fall CSA photography classes start in September.

The “Wellness” exhibition is free. For more information, call CSA at 812-237-2528 or Arts Illiana at 812-235-5007 or visit
