Work of ISU art and design seniors on display

TERRE HAUTE — Catch a glimpse of an art student’s experience in the University Art Gallery’s last exhibition for the year at Indiana State University. Showcasing the work of graduating art and design seniors the “BFA/BS Thesis and Senior Exhibition” celebrates their accomplishments as students.

Running through May 3, this exhibit includes art from BFA candidate Emily Bennett and Gabrielle Roach, and BS candidates Taylor Bedwell, Jacob Bizjak-Turner, Heidy Caceres, Kayley Graf, Amanda Greene, Staci Hall, Danielle Higgins, Caitey Kennedy, Katerina King, Jordan Lump, Hannah Mercer, Nicole Nootbaar, Mariel Peterson, Shelby Porter, Matthew Rasley, Katelynne Reilly, Jordan Salazar, Mariah Skaggs, Sarah Sneath, Starr Stone, Lauren Wilson, Kiyo Yamakazi and Yuan Yin.

A reception will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the gallery.

After four years, these graduates can boast a variety of new abilities. Ranging from graphic design to wood sculpture, welding and textile weaving to painting, many of these skills are represented in the gallery.

The exhibit is free. The gallery is in the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts at Seventh and Chestnut streets. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. Free group tours are available upon request. For more information, call Grace Pringle at 812-237-3720.
