Rose to feature Valley artists at March 20 reception

TERRE HAUTE — Local artists Peter Bruning, Pat Grigg, Elizabeth Petrulis and Don Monroe are featured in the spring art exhibit on walls throughout Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s Moench Hall and Myers Hall academic buildings.

A reception to recognize the artists and their artworks is planned from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. today, March 20, on the first floor of Moench Hall. The event is free.

Several of Bruning’s paintings make up his latest “Kaleidoscope Series” display, located along Moench Hall’s second floor.

Grigg’s colorful wildlife photographs, paintings and fabric artworks can be found on the first floor of the building, while Petrulis’ paintings on “Dog Studies” are on the second floor.

Several of Monroe’s oil and watercolor paintings are part of a year-long exhibit on the second floor of Myers Hall.

The spring exhibit is available for public viewing weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special tours can be arranged through Steve Letsinger, Rose-Hulman’s coordinator of arts programming and art curator, at 812-877-8452 or letsinge@rose-hulman.edu.
