Learn about volunteering at Children’s Museum this summer on June 9

Those who are looking for a way to give back to the community and have fun at the same time are invited to attend a Volunteer Orientation Session at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum from 4 to 5:30 p.m. June 9.

The Museum is at the corner of Eighth Street and Wabash Avenue in downtown Terre Haute.

Volunteers are needed to fill a variety of roles, including working the exhibit floor, assisting in the science store/admission desk, helping with building maintenance/cleaning and volunteer opportunities are numerous and flexible enough to fit all talents and schedules. The Museum is also seeking several volunteers to assist with its enriching summer camp programs, which will serve approximately 140 kids this summer.

Volunteers must be 14 or older, and those interested in volunteering are encouraged to attend the Volunteer Orientation Session on June 9 to complete a volunteer application, to get a brief overview of the museum and to learn about the volunteer opportunities that are available.

To complete the volunteer application before the orientation, visit www.th

childrensmuseum.com and look for the purple “Volunteer” banner. For more information about the orientation session or volunteering at the museum, contact Jamie McDowell at 812-235-5548 or jmcdowell@terrehautechildrensmuseum.com.
