Mike Wilson was one of the winners Saturday in competition at Wabash Valley Dragway.
The Terre Haute driver bested Tim Walters of Indianapolis in the finals for pro class. Two other winners were Bill McCarty of Terre Haute and Zip Donnan of Marshall, Ill.
There is no racing this week because of the Shrine Circus at the fairgrounds. Regular evening action is slated May 6 with gates opening at noon.

The veteran driver led all the way to win the 30-lap Elliottbrand Clash and take home $4,000 that went to the winner.

Mat Neely of Robinson, Ill., was fast qualifier in the 42-car field that attracted several U.S. Auto Club regulars; Neely took 11th in the main event.

At Lawrenceburg, Stanbrough followed up his win at Bloomington on Friday, passing Bud Kaeding on the last lap to win the feature on the second night of the Lawrenceburg Sprint Nationals.
Shane Cottle took third in the main event behind Stanbrough and Kaeding with Jay Drake fourth and Mat Neely of Robinson, Ill., fifth.
Levi Jones was fast qualifier in the 43-car field.
At Winchester, Bryan Clauson led all the way Sunday to win the Rich Vogler Classic on the pavement at Winchester Speedway.
Darren Hagen was second and Dave Steele third.
Josh Wise was sixth and assumed the points lead going into next Sunday’s race at Gas City. Neely took 13th and is eighth in points.

METRO ROUNDUP: ISU softball splits pair in Florida
Pitching dominated Tuesday’s opening day of play in the Rebel Spring Games for the Indiana State softball team, which defeated Bucknell 2-0 before falling 2-0 to Creighton.
“The girls did a great job in the first game getting a couple runs,” ISU coach Shane Bouman said. “We leaned on [sophomore] Yvette Alvarez who pitched really well. We probably got as much as we could out of her and probably should have changed earlier so put that on me. We have a couple little things we can clean up and get a little better and we will be ready to go tomorrow.”
