IThe Indiana State athletic department and Nelligan Sports Marketing announced Thursday the renewal with WTWO and WAWV TV for the local television broadcast rights of Sycamore football and men’s and women’s basketball, as well as expanding to baseball in 2013.
The renewed agreement calls for the two stations to broadcast home football as well as select home and away men’s and women’s basketball games over the next three years locally in the Wabash Valley.
Beginning with the 2013 campaign, one home baseball game per season will be broadcast as well.
The first broadcast under the new agreement is Sept. 15 on WTWO when the Indiana State football team hosts Drake at Memorial Stadium.
Basketball broadcasts will be announced after the Missouri Valley Conference schedule is made official and the league’s television partners have made their selections.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Indiana State University athletic program,” said Tim Sturgess, vice president and general manager of WTWO.
Jason Pensky, an 18-year veteran of covering Sycamore athletics in the Wabash Valley, will once again serve as the television play-by-play voice for Indiana State football, basketball and baseball.
