Prep Roundup: North boys tennis regional postponed

Terre Haute North’s first-round boys tennis match in the IHSAA Vincennes Regional was postponed due to rain Tuesday.
The 10th-ranked Patriots will play today at 6:30 p.m. against Pike Central at Vincennes Lincoln.
The championship match is scheduled for Thursday.
Volleyball
n Sullivan wins — At Bicknell, Lauren Adams had 30 assists and Jenna Lisman led the way with 12 kills for Sullivan.

• Rox win, Falcons stubborn — At Cayuga, visiting Rockville had to battle hard for a first-game victory before defeating North Vermillion in Wabash River Conference play.

• Soggy course — In the Paris (Ill.) Regional, Paris, Marshall and Casey faced unforgiving weather conditions in finishing third, fourth and 11th respectively.
Conditions were so bad that one Marshall player placed his club covers over his clubs’ grips in order to keep them from slipping out of his hands. According to one coach, the relentless rain prolonged the tournament an extra two hours.
Marshall reported that C.J. Grooms qualified for the sectional and will play at Tuscola on Monday. Individual scores were not reported from Paris and Casey.
