Metro Roundup: Hoosiers Reunion Classic coming soon

Terre Haute South’s Megan Craft, Indiana State University basketball recruits Deja Mattox and Brittany Schoen and ISU track and field recruit Felisha Johnson will be among the girls playing in the annual Hoosiers Reunion All-Star Classic in Knightstown’s Historic Hoosier Gym on June 6.
The top two scorers in the state — Miss Basketball Brittany Rayburn of Attica and Maggie Boyer of Lebanon — are among 13 Indiana All-Stars who will compete in the 6 p.m. girls game that day.
Mr. Basketball Tyler Zeller of Washington is among 12 Indiana All-Stars slated to appear in the 8 p.m. boys game. Marshall, Ill., native Steve Bennett is one of the coaches.

Baseball
• Rose puts three on all-regional team — Pitcher Derek Eitel, pitcher/infielder Michael Matsui and catcher Keenan Long of Rose-Hulman were named to the NCAA Division III all-Mideast Regional team at the conclusion of play Saturday.
Adrian rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat top-seeded Heidelberg 8-7 Saturday, earning the right to meet Johns Hopkins in the next round of tournament play.
Rose-Hulman finished with a 1-2 record in the six-team regional.
Running
• Webster wins Jungle Run — Tom Webster of Columbus was the overall winner of Saturday’s Run Through the Jungle for the third straight year, setting a course record of 17 minutes and 15 seconds.
Janelle Ralph of Terre Haute was the overall female winner in 20:34. Robert Burns of Beech Grove was masters winner in 19:07, Carla Yerkes of Crawfordsville was female masters winner in 22:01, Albert Ford of Columbus was the male walker winner and Danielle Lomax of Indianapolis was female walker winner.
Over $3,000 was raised for the Exotic Feline Rescue Center by 250 runners. Complete results will be posted later on wvrr.org.
Auto racing
• Darland dominates — At West Salem, Wis., Dave Darland led all 30 laps to win the feature in U.S. Auto Club midget racing Friday at Lacrosse Fairgounds Speedway.
Kody Swanson was fast qualifier, won the semi and took second in the main event as the midgets began three days of racing.
Mario Marietta won his heat and was 17th in the feature.
