Prep Roundup: Shakamak softball’s Gilbert tosses perfect game

Jasonville Senior right-hander Heather Gilbert pitched a five-inning perfect game, striking out nine of the 15 batters she faced, to lead host Shakamak over Eminence 10-0 in Tri-River Conference high school softball Tuesday.

Highlights — For Shakamak, Heather Gilbert pitched a five-inning perfect game, Marki Collins went 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBIs, Kristi Pearson went 2 for 2 and Keshia Deschamp went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs.

Next — Shakamak (13-4, 2-2 TRC) will be at home Thursday to take on Cloverdale.
