Prep Roundup: Burnam leads Marshall baseball to win

TERRE HAUTE — Indiana State baseball recruit Kyle Burnam had four stolen bases and three runs scored as his Marshall Lions improved to 2-0 with a 6-0 victory at Tri-County on Tuesday.

Highlights — For Marshall, Kyle Burnam was 1 for 2 with 3 runs scored and 4 stolen bases; Lucas Eitel was 2 for 2 with a run scored, Logan Eitel was 2 for 4 with a two-run single, Nolan Schafer and Trey Brashear combined to throw a 5-hit shutout striking out 9.

Next — Marshall (2-0) will open Little Illini Conference play at home on Thursday vs. Lawrenceville at 4:30 p.m. CDT.
