TERRE HAUTE — The Terre Haute Children’s Museum is offering a New Year’s Noon Celebration — 12 hours before the actual midnight countdown to the beginning of 2013. The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Before the countdown, the museum will help kids make crowns and noisemakers they can use to ring in the New Year at the stroke of noon with a parade, ball drop and dance party.

The New Year’s Noon Celebration is free with museum admission. Museum admission is free for members of the Terre Haute Children’s Museum and children under 24 months. Regular admission is $7 for adults and children over 24 months.

The Terre Haute Children’s Museum is at Eighth Street and Wabash Avenue in downtown Terre Haute. For more information, call 812-235-5548 or log on to www.thchildrensmuseum.com.
