TERRE HAUTE —
A Terre Haute man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after leading police on a foot chase Thursday morning.
At about 7:30 a.m., police received a call that a male was battering a female at a location near 15th and Elm streets.
When an officer arrived, the woman was on the ground and the male suspect fled on foot.
The officer eventually caught up with the suspect, who also had an outstanding warrant for probation violation.
Brice Holden, 21, was arrested for domestic battery, resisting law enforcement by fleeing, probation violation and other charges, according to police and the Vigo County Jail.
He remained in the jail Thursday evening under $15,000 bail, no 10 percent allowed.
The woman did not require medical attention, according to Terre Haute police.
