The Waugh vehicle then struck a car traveling westbound on Springhill Drive. The car was driven by 20-year-old Nancy M. Nasser-Fortin of Terre Haute.

Waugh was transported to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for neck and back pain. Nasser-Fortin was transported to Union Hospital of Terre Haute for general pain. A passenger in the Nasser-Fortin vehicle, William Jarvis, 30, of Terre Haute was airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for neck and back pain.
