Vigo County Jail Log: Oct. 30, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday and Wednesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Tuesday

Timothy F. Watkins, 42, 3400 block of South Center Street, Terre Haute. Booked 9:24 a.m. Failure to appear and parole violation.

Jody A. Cliver, 37, 500 block of South Main Street, Clinton. Booked 10:24 a.m. Bond revocation.

Alvin D. Allen, 32, 100 block of North 14th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:39 a.m. Court order.

Jerry L. Strain, 68, Bergholz, Ohio. Booked 2:27 p.m. Child molesting.

Arlo A. Paletis, 30, 10 block of South 16th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:52 p.m. Failure to appear.

Michael J. Bennett, 35, 500 block of South Eighth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 6:43 p.m. Parole violation.

Stephen G. Smithers, 62, 4800 block of South Pothast Place, West Terre Haute. Booked 7:12 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Wednesday

Beverly D. Barnett, 51, 2400 block of South 19th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:01 a.m. Failure to appear.

Gary J. Morris Jr., 19, 500 block of Fourth Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 2:22 a.m. Bond revocation and escape.

Casey O. Thomas, 19, 600 block of Randy Smith Drive, Springville. Booked 4:20 a.m. Minor consuming and operating while intoxicated.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
