Vigo County Jail Log: Oct. 17, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Wednesday and Thursday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Wednesday

Shawn J. Riggle, 38, 2900 block of North 12th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 8:47 a.m. Motor vehicle theft and theft.

Steven E. Baker, 25, 2400 block of Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 10:10 a.m. Failure to appear.

Kaleigh N. Elkins, 21, 1200 block of North Smith Place, West Terre Haute. Booked 12:53 p.m. Failure to appear.

Dwayne Childress, 30, 200 block of Meadow Lane, Carmel. Booked 1:12 p.m. Failure to appear.

Nichole B. Shake, 22, 600 block of Linden Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:49 p.m. Battery.

Jennifer L. Hinote, 31, 1100 block of North State Street, Sullivan. Booked 3:40 p.m. Court order.

Mathew L. Thomas, 21, 300 block of South Third Street, West Terre Haute. Booked 3:57 p.m. Sexual battery and public indecency.

Brittany R. Sprague, 34, 2300 block of Huber Lane, Terre Haute. Booked 6:38 p.m. Criminal trespassing.

Devlin C. Decker, 23, 700 block of South Eighth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 8:10 p.m. Public intoxication, disorderly conduct and battery.

Thursday

Bradley W. Fox, 25, 2400 block of Dillman Street, Terre Haute. Booked 3:03 a.m. Public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
