Be alert on I-70 for lane restrictions

Restrictions will continue through the next 10 days

CLAY/PUTNAM/VIGO COUNTIES – The Indiana Department of Transportation asks motorists to be alert for lane restrictions on I-70 through Dec. 14. Construction crews will be finishing up several items over the next few days between Indiana 59 and U.S. 231, such as patching, pavement markings, installing an under drain and repairing guardrail from an earlier accident.

Also on I-70 between U.S. 41 and U.S. 40/Indiana 46 watch for lane restrictions as crews repair a patch and place temporary pavement markings. These lanes restrictions could cause back-ups and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.  For the latest news and information visit www.in.gov/indot or www.trafficwise.IN.gov.
