Vigo County Jail Log: Aug. 29, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Wednesday and Thursday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Wednesday

Ronald Buchanan Jr., 30, 6500 block of S. County Road 250 East, Greencastle. Booked 8:08 a.m. Court order.

Matthew W. Montgomery, 28, 900 block of South Fifth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:13 a.m. Parole violation.

Richard K. Maloney III, 33, 1500 block of South 18th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:37 a.m. Court order.

Elizabeth A. Johnson, 41, 10 block of North Eighth Street, West Terre Haute. Booked 1:39 p.m. Failure to appear (three counts).

Madalyn E. Kane, 27, 600 block of South Seventh Street, West Terre Haute. Booked 3:42 p.m. Bond revocation.

Christie L. Meeker, 39, 800 block of North 14th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:07 p.m. Aggravated battery.

Kathleen McDonald, 56, 13000 block of South Sharp Street, Terre Haute. Booked 7:37 p.m. Domestic battery.

Lavane V. Mitchell, 26, 10 block of Potomac Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 9:56 p.m. Possession of a weapon with altered ID, operating while intoxicated, failure to appear, possession of a firearm by violent offender.

Justin R. Wells, 25, 3000 block of Fenwood Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 11:01 p.m. Failure to appear.

Thursday

Jimmy R. Johnson, 1200 block of North Smith Place, West Terre Haute. Booked 1:05 a.m. Failure to appear.

Jason W. Sickles, 39, 2100 block of Cleveland Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 1:32 a.m. Domestic battery.

Jacob E. Lowe, 37, 800 block of Walnut Street, Clinton. Booked 4:57 a.m. Operating while intoxicated, possession of paraphernalia and failure to appear.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
