UPDATE: Vigo Sheriff releases name of victim killed in early-morning crash

Three juveniles and 18-year-old man, passengers in car, arrested

TERRE HAUTE — Vigo County Sheriff deputies have released the identity of the person killed early today in a crash on Miami Gardens Road in northern Vigo County. Nineteen-year-old Jesse Kelly of Terre Haute was pronounced dead at the scene by the Vigo County coroner.

Deputies determined that there were several other occupants in the vehicle at the time of the crash who allegedly fled the scene of the crash, accoring to a media release from the department. Three juveniles ages 16 and 17 were arrested and charged with passenger leaving the scene of an incapacited driver, a class-C misdemeanor; criminal tresspass, a class-A misdemeanor; and minor consuming alcohol, a class-C misdemeanor. The juveliles were taken to the Vigo County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Also arrested was 18-year-old Michael S. Collier. He is charged the same as the three juveniles. Collier was tasken to the Vigo County Jail, where he is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in Terre Haute City Court on Thursday.
