Vigo County Jail Log: July 30, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Monday and Tuesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Monday

Aaron L. Elsey, 21, 400 block of South 29th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:26 a.m. Theft and fraud.

Penny S. Polk, 40, 1800 block of South 25th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:27 a.m. Theft.

Paul L. Sims Jr., 32, 900 block of South Eighth Street, West Terre Haute. Booked 1:17 p.m. Theft.

Chris E. McCormick, 27, 1100 block of Harrison Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 3:30 p.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Andrew S. Osborne, 25, 1600 block of South 25th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:05 p.m. Failure to appear.

Marshall A. Hall, 53, 16100 block of South Indiana 63, Prairie Creek. Booked 4:45 p.m. Failure to appear.

Mellisa C. Treacy, 40, 5200 block of East Green Briar Drive, Terre Haute. Booked 7:18 p.m. Operating while intoxicated, leaving scene property and possession of paraphernalia.

Trever A. Leyda, 200 block of West Slingliff Avenue, Dover, Ohio. Booked 8:25 p.m. Operating while intoxicated, possession of marijuana/hash and possession of paraphernalia.

Tuesday

Cody Doss, 19, 2400 block of North 15th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 5:57 a.m. Burglary and criminal mischief.

Joshua L. Baugh, 21, 3600 block of Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 6:01 a.m. Burglary and criminal mischief.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
