TERRE HAUTE —
A child and two adults were hospitalized Tuesday after a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 41 in Lyford in Parke County.
The Parke County Sheriff’s Department had no immediate word on the condition of those involved in the crash, which took place in the late afternoon.
Television news reports indicated one or two of those involved in the accident were flown by helicopter ambulance to hospitals in Indianapolis. A third person remained at Union Hospital in Clinton, according to the reports.
The incident temporarily closed the highway to traffic as emergency responders worked at the scene.
No further information was available as the Tribune-Star went to press Tuesday night.
