TERRE HAUTE —
Authorities in Owen County are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left one person, believed to be from Terre Haute, dead and another injured over the weekend.
The Owen County Sheriff’s Department was not releasing the names of those involved late Monday night.
The department, in a news release, stated the accident took place Sunday morning about 1 mile south of Spencer on U.S. 231.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a female trapped in one vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle refused treatment and was taken to Bloomington Hospital for a blood draw, according to the release.
News reports indicate the man killed in the crash was from Terre Haute and the driver of the other vehicle was from Greene County.
