I-70 project to close westbound ramps for resurfacing

U.S. 231 exit ramp will close Oct. 20

PUTNAM/MORGAN COUNTIES, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the resurfacing project on I-70 will close the ramps at U.S. 231 (Exit 41) beginning Saturday, Oct. 20, to mill and resurface the ramps. Crews plan the following schedule for closures:

• Oct. 20, 6 a.m. - 6 a.m. on Oct. 21, westbound I-70 exit ramp to U.S. 231

• Oct. 21, 6 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Oct. 22, U.S. 231 on ramp to westbound I-70  

• Oct. 23, 6 a.m. - 6 a.m. on Oct. 24, westbound I-70 exit ramp to U.S. 231

• Oct. 24, 6 a.m. - 6 a.m. on Oct. 25, U.S. 231 on ramp to westbound I-70  

This project on I-70 will resurface the interstate from U.S. 231 to Little Point. This project was awarded to Rieth-Riley Construction for $10.49 million. This project is scheduled for completion in November of this year.
