March 1 last day to register early for Hospice 'Run and Remember'

TERRE HAUTE — The Cause. The Course.

Hospice of the Wabash Valley is hosting a fundraising event — “Run and Remember” —  March 9 at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, east of Terre Haute, beginning at 11 a.m.

The event includes a 10K run, 5K walk or run, and a “fun” walk or run for people of all ages. Each participant in the fun run will receive a medal and a T-shirt. The top two male and female finishers in each category will receive a medal as will the top overall finishers. Participants in the 10K and 5K event also will receive a long-sleeved dri-fit shirt.

The cost to participate in the 10K is $30; 5K, $25; and the fun run, $10.

Hospice of the Wabash Valley is a not-for-profit agency that cares for people of all ages, regardless of income, who are facing a life-limiting illness.

Special shirt bibs will be available for runners and walkers to wear in memory or in honor of someone special. The goal is to create community awareness about how Hospice of the Wabash Valley cares for people during some of the most difficult times in their lives.
