Coroner IDs body found in car as Morgan Johnson

PLAINFIELD — The two-year search for missing Terre Haute native, Morgan Johnson ended Saturday.

According to the Plainfield Police Department, the coroner has positively identified the body that was found inside a vehicle recovered Friday morning from a pond in Plainfield as Morgan Johnson.

“The coroner made this determination using dental records and Morgan Johnson’s driver’s license was recovered as well,” according to police in a press release.

Authorities said that Johnson’s family has been notified “and we are deeply saddened by their loss,” police said.

Plainfield Police Department said that the cause of death is yet to be determined.
