Vigo County Jail Log: July 17, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday and Wednesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Tuesday

Jeffrey S. Poland, 34, 400 block of Oak Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:41 a.m. Court order (two counts).

David L. Bell III, 24, 400 block of South 18th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:50 p.m. Parole violation.

Eddie J. Owens, 25, 200 block of North 14 1/2 Street, Terre Haute. Booked 2:53 p.m. Possession of marijuana/hash.

Barbara F. Gallagher, 26, 600 block of Heritage Lane East, Terre Haute. Booked 3:43 p.m. Invasion of privacy.

Chad M. Lewis, 37, 100 block of East Voorhees Street, Terre Haute. Booked 5:22 p.m. Bond Revocation.

Jesse P. Kelly, 19, 600 block of Oak Street, Terre Haute. Booked 8:21 p.m. Violation of a no contact order and domestic battery.

Wednesday

Demetrius R. Adams, 36, 1100 block of North Ninth Street, Terre Haute. Booked at 5:36 a.m. Strangulation and battery.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
