Parke man facing two felonies

----

---- — Detectives from the Putnamville Post of the Indiana State Police have arrested a Parke County man for suspicion of child molesting. The victims, ages 2 and 3, are acquaintances of the suspect.

In a news release, police identified the man arrested as Raymond H. Cooprider, 51, of rural southeastern Parke County. He faces two charges of child molesting, a class-C felony, and is being held in Parke County Jail on $15,000 bail, no 10 percent accepted.

Cooprider is alleged to have fondled the victims on Jan. 22, 2013, during a visit to his residence. The alleged acts were initially reported to the Indiana Department of Child Services, which in turn reported the matter to Indiana State Police on Jan. 24.

Cooprider was arrested without incident Thursday at the home of a family member in Clay County.
