TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Wednesday and Thursday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.


Linda K. Hamilton, 27, 600 block of South Fifth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 9:18 a.m. Probation violation.

Chelsea M. Casey, 21, 2500 block of East Dexter Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 10:41 a.m. Failure to appear (two counts) and probation violation.

Marshall R. Riker, 29, 6000 block of East Old Fort Harrison Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 11:04 a.m. Failure to appear (three counts).

Pamela G. Riker, 54, 6000 block of East Old Fort Harrison Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 11:40 a.m. Failure to appear.

John R. Dennis, 60, 2500 block of South 11 1/2 Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:54 a.m. Failure to appear.

Megan S. Bemis, 22, 4900 block of North Michigan Street, Terre Haute. Booked 2 p.m. Battery-domestic.

Jeremiah N. Lamaster, 24, 6500 block of North Robertson Road, Terre Haute. Booked 2:21 p.m. Battery-aggravated, battery-serious and criminal reckless.

Tyler L. Norton, 31, 1600 block of Fifth Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 3:29 p.m. Failure to appear.

Dustin P. Fitzgerald, 35, 300 block of South Washington Street, Clinton. Booked 3:50 p.m. Probation violation and court order.

Mark D. Foster, 43, 200 block of South Staunton Perry Street, Brazil. Booked 5:19 p.m. Invasion of privacy and possession of marijuana/hash.

Larry W. Urbain, 44, 1400 block of Buckeye Street, Terre Haute. Booked 7 p.m. Public intoxication, criminal conversion and disorderly conduct.

Brittney N. Julian, 25, 1300 block of Chestnut Street, Terre Haute. Booked 7:23 p.m. Failure to appear.

Bryan L. Grimes, 30, 4500 block of North 13 1/2 Street, Terre Haute. Booked 9:21 p.m. Carrying a handgun without a permit.

Ernest L. Hoopingarner, 39, 400 block of East Margrette, Universal. Booked 11:01 p.m. Battery.


Leroy Lawson Jr., 61, 1300 block of South 16th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:09 a.m. Failure to appear.

Keith A. Shepherd, 36, 400 block of East Margaret Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 2 a.m. False reporting/informing.

Jay F. Padgett, 59, 600 block of Cherry Street, Terre Haute. Booked 3:01 a.m. Public nudity.

Troy E. Fagin, 41, 2300 block of Locust Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:16 a.m. Battery.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
