TERRE HAUTE —
Now that roads are becoming more safely passable in the aftermath of the recent local flooding, the American Red Cross is expanding its outreach via home visits and bulk distribution into the affected areas.
The schedule for bulk distribution of such relief items as clean-up kits and bottled water will be:
• Thursday, April 25, in Hillsdale and Clinton in the afternoon;
• Friday, April 26, beginning at 1 p.m. in Dresser and then moving to southwestern Vigo County;
• Saturday, April 27, beginning at 11 a.m. in Reelsville.
In lieu of a Service Center, the Red Cross will continue conducting home visits in the flood affected areas to ensure families’ emergency needs are met by Red Cross or other community partners.
Services continue to be available at the Wabash Valley Chapter at 700 S. Third St. For more information call the Terre Haute Red Cross office at 812-232-3393 and press 0 for the operator.
