---- — Voting in Sullivan County, which continues until 6 p.m. today, is going well, according to the county clerk.

“It seems to be going pretty smooth,” Clerk Peggy Goodman said on the telephone this afternoon. “We’ve had a couple minor issues. Mostly people who went to the wrong precinct and we had to figure out where they needed to vote.”

Goodman did not have any specific information on voter turnout as of 2:15 p.m. She noted that the pleasant weather seemed favorable for voter turnout.

Sullivan County has 14,560 registered voters eligible to cast ballots.

There are 20 precincts in Sullivan County — including the towns of Hymera, Shelburn, Dugger, Carlisle, Farmersburg, Merom and the county seat of Sullivan.
