Meth bust yields 2 arrests, plus bystander

ROSEDALE — Parke County sheriff’s deputies were investigating a suspicious vehicle outside Rosedale early Monday morning when they reportedly uncovered dozens of doses of methamphetamine worth nearly $2,000.

The sheriff’s department, in a news release, said deputies were investigating a suspicious vehicle on Catlin Road about 6 a.m. when they seized 23 grams of crystal meth – about 8/10 of an ounce. That’s enough meth to create roughly 85 doses with a total street value of approximately $2,000, the news release stated.

The occupants of the vehicle, Desirae Rogers, 24, and Nicholas Allen Sebastian, 22, both of Terre Haute, were arrested. Both are facing allegations of dealing meth, a class-A felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a class-A misdemeanor.

Rogers is also facing allegations of possession of hypodermic needles, a class-D felony, and was also found to be wanted on an outstanding Clay County warrant for failure to appear in court.

During the investigation, a third person, Jennifer Jo Suzanne Goetz, 35, of Terre Haute, arrived at the scene and was also arrested, according to the sheriff’s department. Goetz is facing allegations of driving while a habitual traffic violator, a class-D felony. She was also found to have an outstanding Parke County arrest warrant for failure to appear in court.
