Greene police investigate shooting near Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD — Police in Greene County were investigating a shooting that took place Monday afternoon southeast of Bloomfield.

No immediate word on possible injuries was available as of about 9:45 p.m., but the Greene County Sheriff’s Department was expected to provide a news release later in the night.

The shooting took place in a rural area southeast of Bloomfield about 5:30 p.m., according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.

The Tribune-Star will provide further information as it becomes available.

Bloomfield is in central Greene County.
