TERRE HAUTE — Acting on an anonymous tip, Indiana State Police troopers from the Putnamville Post Meth Suppression Team found remnants of an active meth lab on Tuesday in a residence in the 3000 block of North 15 1⁄2 Street.
The team arrested one man on meth-related charges. No significant amount of meth was found at the residence. The finished product from the lab had been removed prior to arrival of the troopers.
Arrested was Arthur Auterson, 43, on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine, both class-B felonies, as well as dumping controlled waste, possession of precursors and maintaining a common nuisance, all class-D felonies.
He was booked into the Vigo County Jail and was to appear in court today.
