Sign up for Summer Reading Club by July 13

TERRE HAUTE — The Vigo County Public Library Youth Services Department is just a few weeks into its Summer Reading Club and so far, 1,000 have registered and 46 participants have already reached their goal.

But it’s not too late to register. July 13 is the last day to do so.

Children from birth through 12th grade are welcome to sign up at the main Library, West Branch, or online at

Those who participate in the summer reading club set a goal of the number of books they would like to read for the summer and will receive a prize once their goal is met. If a child is too young to read a book on their own, an older child or adult can read to them.

Participants have until July 27 to reach their goal and claim their prize.
