Voting registration open only for another week


• Vigo County voters have until Oct. 9 to register to vote in the upcoming Nov. 6 general election, which includes the presidential election.

• The last day to register is also the last day to transfer a voter registration if a voter has moved. Registration or change of registration can be done at the Vigo County Voter Registration office on the second floor of the Vigo County Courthouse at the intersection of Third and Ohio streets in Terre Haute.

• Voters can also register online at

• As of Monday, Vigo County has 74,840 registered voters. Of those 74,171 are considered active voters and 669 are inactive voters.
