TERRE HAUTE — A man who listed his address as a Terre Haute motel will return to court next week to face allegations that he was dealing heroin and other drugs from his room.

Jacob Holt, 23, appeared in Vigo Superior Court 3 on Thursday where Judge David Bolk set his bail at $75,000 with no 10 percent allowed.

Terre Haute Police executed a search warrant at Holt’s motel room, where he had been residing since April 1. Police reportedly found more than 14 grams of heroin with a street value of $4,300 and other controlled substances.

The judge found probable cause for Holt’s arrest on preliminary charges of dealing heroin, dealing a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.

Holt is set to return to court Tuesday.

Court records show that he has prior misdemeanor convictions in Monroe County.
