Blood Center invites Colts fans to celebrate 'Blue Monday'

TERRE HAUTE — Building on the momentum of this weekend’s exciting opening of the NFL regular season, Indianapolis Colts fans are invited to celebrate “Blue Monday” by donating blood at Indiana Blood Center donor centers on Monday.

Indiana Blood Center is calling on Hoosiers to ensure a stable blood supply for the more than 60 hospitals it serves around the state. All blood types are needed, but the need is especially urgent for O-negative and B-negative donors.

The “Blue Monday” drive comes at a crucial time as Indiana Blood Center is transitioning out of a challenging summer. To help drive more opportunity for people to raise their sleeve, all participants will receive, while supplies last, a Colts T-shirt and be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Colts-Dolphins game at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sept. 15.

The Indiana Blood Center location in Terre Haute, at 2021 S. Third St., is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
