Vigo County Jail Log: Nov. 8, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Thursday and Friday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Thursday

Charles E. Decker, 26, 1900 block of South 31st Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:45 a.m. Probation violation.

Linda J. Begley, 37, 4400 block of North 1500 West, Linton. Booked 12:16 p.m. Criminal conversion.

Michael A. Talley, 30, 200 block of North Washington Street, Salem, Ill. Booked 1:21 p.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Ronald L. Banta, 72, 2100 block of Boston Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 2:14 p.m. Invasion of privacy.

Dana L. Vanhook, 29, Fontanet. Booked 4:03 p.m. Criminal trespassing.

Rashad A. Owens, 20, 100 block of East Voorhees Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:43 p.m. Bond revocation.

Chauncey V. Hicks, 40, 1100 block of Seventh Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 5:56 p.m. Failure to appear.

Sherry L. Harris, 45, 100 Block of East Miller Avenue, West Terre Haute. Booked 8:43 p.m. Probation violation.

Forrest G. Schmitt, 22, 1900 block of North Seventh Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:35 p.m. Aggravated battery, criminal recklessness, intimidation and pointing a firearm.

Friday

Michael J. Gillson, 31, 700 block of North Big Cave Road, Orlando, Ky. Booked 2:17 a.m. Burglary.

Shane E. Parks, 19, Lincoln Quads, Indiana State University, Terre Haute. Booked 3:04 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Caleb D. Manley, 22, 7000 block of West Gobin Drive, Farmersburg. Booked 3:51 a.m. Operating while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
