TERRE HAUTE — Big things are expected from the Indiana State Sycamores in the 2013-14 men’s college basketball season.

ISU was picked to finish a lofty second in the Missouri Valley Conference in the upcoming season. The annual preseason poll of media, coaches and university sports-information staffers was released Wednesday morning.

Wichita State, fresh off a 30-win season and a trip to the 2013 Final Four, was a unanimous choice to win the league title, receiving all 40 first-place votes and 400 voting points. The Shockers are just the second team in the past 25 years to get a unanimous first-place prediction.
