TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.


Brandon M. Story, 18, 600 block of South Seventh Street, West Terre Haute. Booked 9:45 a.m. Battery.

Brandon G. Meeks, 35, 100 block of South 18th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:22 a.m. Probation violation.

John D. Shahadey, 48, 400 block of Willow Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:30 p.m. Failure to appear.

Sandra M. Bills, 42, 600 block of South Seventh Street, West Terre Haute. Booked 12:10 p.m. Domestic battery and strangulation.

Andrew S. Osborne, 25, 1600 block of South 25th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:12 p.m. Failure to appear.

Jason L. Buchanan, 25, 1100 block of Sixth Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 1:18 p.m. Violation of no contact order.

Toni A. Hiatt, 37, 2600 block of Washington Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:54 p.m. Battery.

Joyce M. Allen, 34, 500 block of South Center Street, Terre Haute. Booked 2 p.m. Battery.

Raheem M. Kelley, 21, 1500 block of South Fourth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 3:33 p.m. Dealing marijuana/hash, possession of marijuana/hash, resisting law enforcement,  driver never licensed and bond revocation.

William E. Cavaness, 34, 9700 block of South Jackson Way, Avon. Booked 4 p.m. Parole violation.

Ryan E. Monaghan, 24, 1200 block of South Fifth Street, Clinton. Booked 4:45 p.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Christopher B. Long, 28, 10700 block of South County Road 500 West, Lewis. Booked 4:53 p.m. Parole violation.

Susan M. Byers, 42, 2100 block of North 23rd Street, Terre Haute. Booked 5:34 p.m. Failure to appear and possession of controlled substance.

David J. Sickles, 44, 3100 block of East Hollywood Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 6:45 p.m. Possession of controlled substance and criminal conversion.

Melissa A. Thomas, 41, 600 block of North Missouri Street, Shelburn. Booked 8:16 p.m. Court order.

Chelci C. Primer, 18, Mills Hall, Indiana State University, Terre Haute. Booked 8:21 p.m. Criminal conversion.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
