SULLIVAN — Detectives from the Putnamville District of the Indiana State Police, along with the Sullivan Police Department, are currently investigating the death of 24-year-old Brittany L. Moore of Shelburn, the ISP announced Saturday afternoon in a press release.

ISP state that Moore was found unresponsive at 9:12 a.m. Saturday in the bedroom of a friend’s home at 345 Beech Street in Sullivan. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office received the 911 call from the residence at 9:12 a.m. and dispatched the Sullivan Fire and Police Departments.

Moore was taken to the Sullivan County Community Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased by Sullivan County Deputy Coroner Rick Weaver, the ISP reported.

The Indiana State Police stated in a release that detectives have no reason to suspect foul play, but the investigation is ongoing.

An autopsy performed by Dr. Roland Kohr is scheduled for Monday morning at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
