Vigo County Jail Log: Aug. 22, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Wednesday and Thursday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.


Michael A. Hernandez, 22, 3200 block of South Sixth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:12 a.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Drew R. Sluder, 33, 600 block of North Seventh Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:44 a.m. Intimidation, battery and disorderly conduct.

Tyrell D. Collier, 19, 1400 block of North 23rd Street, Terre Haute. Booked 3:06 p.m. Probation violation.

Brett W. Scott, 18, 2500 block of North 15th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 5:20 p.m. Dealing marijuana/hash and possession of marijuana/hash.

Jesse K. Laffoon, 29, 2300 block of Fifth Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 10:01 p.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Ricky D. Higgins Jr., 26, 1800 block of South Eighth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:14 p.m. Parole violation.


Henry D. Key, 22, 10200 block of John Marshal Drive, Indianapolis. Booked 12:22 a.m. Receiving stolen property and carrying a handgun without a license.

Jamie L. Bryant, 31, 100 block of Sumner Avenue, West Terre Haute. Booked 12:56 a.m. Possession of controlled substance and domestic battery.

Michael D. Johnson, 29, 300 block of South 13th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:14 a.m. Criminal trespassing.

Randy W. Rigsby, 20, 300 block of North Studio Street, Terre Haute. Booked 3:01 a.m. Operating while intoxicated and minor consuming.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
