Man to face multiple child sex charges

2 counts of solicitation, molestation

TERRE HAUTE — A Terre Haute man has been arrested and charged in connection to separate cases of child molestation and child solicitation.

Thomas H. Molina, 38, appeared in Vigo Superior Court 3 on Friday where he has been charged with two counts of child molestation and two counts of child solicitation connected to an alleged victim who was younger than age 14. The alleged incidents occurred until Feb. 25 2013.

The second case filed against Molina alleges that he attempted child exploitation by contacting a child younger than 18 and asking her to pose nude in exchange for money. He also allegedly contacted a child via computer to request nude photos, and send a pornographic image to a child. Those incidents allegedly occurred between July 16, 2013 and Oct 22, 2013.

All seven criminal charges are felonies, with the child molestation count being a class-A felony, whic carries a possible prison sentence of 20 to 50 years.

Bail for Molina was set at $35,000 cash only. He is to return to court Monday for another hearing.
