UCP of the Wabash Valley moving to new offices

The Tribune-Star

TERRE HAUTE — The office for United Cerebral Palsy of the Wabash Valley at 621 Poplar St. will be closed today and Friday as the agency moves into a facility at 1400 Hulman St.

The agency can still be reached by calling 812-232-6305 or at info@ucpwv.org.

UCP purchased an apartment building from the Council On Domestic Abuse to expand UCP’s housing and independent living services.

The Hulman Street apartment complex will provide five three-bedroom apartments, five two-bedroom apartments and will have a single one-bedroom apartment, which will be converted from two studio apartments.

UCP’s Poplar Street site will maintain an office one to two days a week, with a final schedule still to be determined.

The Hulman Street site also has more than 2.5 acres of land that will allow UCP to expand in the future.

CODA will continue to have its offices in the Hulman Street apartments for at least a year. UCP last year served 1,400 people in its programs and 146 people in its independent living program.
