Vigo County Jail Log: Oct. 10, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Wednesday and Thursday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Wednesday

April Darden, 23, 200 block of North 14th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:18 a.m. Failure to appear.

Justin G. Goodwin, 31, 1400 block of South 18th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 2:12 p.m. Contempt of court and failure to appear (two counts).

Dwight Sargent, 38, 11300 block of Witch Hazel Drive, Indianapolis. Booked 2:48 p.m. Court order.

Mason L. Welsh, 21, 3300 block of South Lituanica Avenue, Chicago, Ill. Booked 6:05 p.m. Battery.

Ryan T. Bell, 20, 2700 block of North 17th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 6:32 p.m. Minor consuming.

Travis Fulk, 30, 1600 block of First Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 10:03 p.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Darryel L. Porter, 55, 1000 block of North 38th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:17 p.m. Probation violation and bond revocation.

Thursday

Melvin S. Lipscomb, 21, 6400 block of S. U.S. 41, Terre Haute. Booked 1:06 a.m. Probation violation and failure to appear.

Michael A. Norris, 21, 200 block of South Third Street, West Terre Haute. Booked 1:14 a.m. Possession of controlled substance.

Troy Wrightsman, 39, 1800 block of Harding Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 2:47 a.m. Driving while suspended.

Shane A. Goetz, 36, 3800 block of North 25th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 3:15 a.m. Possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana/hash, possession of paraphernalia, driving while suspended (two counts) and false reporting/informing.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
