Shop United! event today at Children’s Museum store

TERRE HAUTE — The Old National Bank Science Store in the Terre Haute Children’s Museum wants people to Shop United! today — and 10 percent of the day’s sales will be donated to the United Way of the Wabash Valley.

The store, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., is an official retailer for Melissa & Doug, Knex, Aurora and Zoob. It carries gift items for both boys and girls, including dinosaurs, building kits, costumes, animals, trains, books and science experiments.

Museum guests can take advantage of discounted admission and see new exhibits.

Through Sunday, the museum is offering a discounted admission of $5 for adults and kids age 2 and over. Kids under the age of 2 and museum members are admitted for free.

Guests can check out a new stock car, which is a permanent exhibit, and the “Spirit of Competition” exhibit, a traveling exhibit that will be on display only through Sunday.

The Terre Haute Children’s Museum, 727 Wabash Ave., is a nonprofit institution dedicated to enriching children’s lives through the exploration of science and technology. The Museum, located at 727 Wabash Ave., is located at the corner of 8th Street and Wabash Avenue in downtown Terre Haute.
