SULLIVAN, Ind. – Repairs originally scheduled this week for a stretch of U.S. 41 were postponed due to recent rains. Indiana Railroad Co. has announced that it will now be making repairs to its rail crossing 1.7 miles south of Sullivan on U.S. 41 beginning next week.
Work at this location will begin on Monday, April 22, at about 8 a.m. Railroad crews will close both of the north bound lanes of traffic and maintain one lane of traffic in each direction in the south bound lanes. Repairs to the crossing are anticipated to be complete by late evening on Friday, April 26, weather permitting.
