Traffic stop on I-70 yields stolen van

---- — VIGO COUNTY — Livens Florestal, 24, of Irvington, N.J., was taken into custody today without incident and transported to the Vigo County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, a Class D felony.

At 9:44 a.m. today, Indiana State Police Master Trooper Ritch Reynolds reported clocking a green, 2004, Ford, Windstar mini-van at 87 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near the 11 mile marker. As Trooper Reynolds activated his emergency lighting to stop the van, the driver accelerated and refused to stop.

Multiple ISP troopers responded to assist and the male driver willfully pulled over near the 16 mm at 9:46.

Further investigation revealed the van was reported stolen early this morning from Kansas City, Mo.
