James Bopp Jr. among 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America

TERRE HAUTE — The National Law Journal, America’s leading legal publication, announced today that James Bopp Jr. has been picked as one of the 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America.  

In publishing its first list since 2006, the NLJ said it “selected 100 lawyers who shape the legal world through their work in the courtroom, at the negotiating table, in the classroom or in government. They have taken on major legal battles and orchestrated the biggest corporate deals. They’ve tackled unpopular causes and helped run giant corporations.”

Bopp is described by the NLJ  as a “litigation machine, methodically mowing down restrictions on campaign financing and speech.” They listed his strengths as legal results, “renowned for his or her ability to get results for clients,” and for though leadership, “known for cutting-edge commentary about legal issues.”

“I could not be more honored and humbled by this prestigious recognition. I have always strived to make a difference for my clients and for the conservative cause and I appreciate that my clients and my associates have given me this marvelous opportunity,” Bopp said.

James Bopp Jr. is the principle of The Bopp Law Firm PC in Terre Haute where he concentrates on not-for-profit tax, campaign finance and election law. In October, he will argue his 7th case in the United States Supreme Court. He also serves as General Counsel for the James Madison Center for Free Speech, General Counsel for the National Right to Life Committee, and Special Counsel for the Republican National Committee.
